April Adams, CPA
With more than 25 years of experience, April is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina (#29712) with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University.
April specializes in serving state and local governments and nonprofit organizations. Areas of expertise include Single Audits under Uniform Guidance and the North Carolina State Single Audit Implementation Act. She is an active member of the NCACPA, serving on the Government Accounting and Auditing Committee, and is also a member of the AICPA.
In 2025, April joined AAPG, LLP to establish and lead its governmental audit practice, with a focus on supporting smaller local governments in securing qualified audit services and navigating increasingly complex financial reporting requirements.
Outside the office, April treasures time spent on the coast with her family, soaking in the moments that matter most. She can often be found on the sidelines cheering her daughter on at soccer, football, and track meets, proudly supporting every season and every milestone. Deeply committed to giving back, April also serves on the finance committee for Dress for Success Triangle NC. When she’s ready to unwind, she enjoys getting lost in a good puzzle, working on diamond art, or experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes for her family to enjoy.
